The Starvmount Starlink MINI Router PSU is a compact DC power supply designed to run the Starlink MINI Router directly from 12 V or 24 V electrical systems. It is intended for the version 1 Starlink MINI Router, which requires a 9 V input and does not support direct connection to wider 12 V or 24 V DC systems.
This PSU provides a regulated output for the version 1 Starlink MINI Router, removing the need for the original AC power brick and inverter. It is ideal for vehicle, marine and off-grid installs where efficiency and simplicity matter. By avoiding DC to AC conversion, you reduce power loss, cut noise and heat from inverters, and simplify the overall system.
Key features
For version 1 Starlink MINI Router: designed for the router with dish and network icons beside the Ethernet ports
Wide DC input: accepts 9-36 V DC input, suitable for both 12 V and 24 V systems
Stable 9 V output: provides regulated power for the version 1 Starlink MINI Router
Version 2 router note: the newer router with ports labelled 1 and 2 supports 9-36 V DC input and may not require this PSU
Inverter-free setup: eliminates AC conversion losses and reduces install complexity
Mobile-friendly: ideal for vans, motorhomes, RVs, boats and off-grid cabins
Pairs cleanly with Starvmount DC systems: integrates neatly with DishyNOAC Pro and related accessories
Starlink has introduced a newer version of the MINI Router, the visible difference between the two router versions is the Ethernet port labelling. Version 1 has a dish icon and network icon beside the ports. Version 2 has the ports labelled 1 and 2.
Starlink Standard dish with Starlink MINI Router
Powering a Starlink Standard dish via Starvmount DishyNOAC Pro, you can use the Starlink MINI Router for WiFi and DHCP while keeping a native Starlink setup. In many installs, the MINI Router can be significantly lower power than the Standard Router, helping reduce overall system draw while still keeping the Starlink app experience showing both dish and router.
Starlink MINI X consists of a Starlink MINI dish and Starlink MINI Router. When combined with Starvmount DishyNOAC Pro, Starvmount MINI PoE Receiver and the Starlink MINI Router PSU, you can power the full setup natively from a 12 V or 24 V DC system, removing the AC adaptor and inverter.
This configuration also provides an ethernet link between the Starlink MINI and the Starlink MINI Router, which avoids relying on WiFi connection between devices and helps deliver a cleaner, more consistent connection.
The Starlink MINI Router PSU has a compact form factor allowing it to be mounted via two mouting points, easily concealed behind the Statlink MINI Router. In addition to the PSU a power cable is supplied of around 450mm in lenght to connect the PSU to the 12/24v power source.
